Office Security Sensors

Office Security Sensors

The business community has long understood the importance of office security. Very few know which office security sensors to use for your business. From the local pharmacy to the mid-sized law office, office security is helpful. But security systems sensors will do more than ward off burglars should someone attempt to break in during the night.

Modern security systems can assist businesses to monitor their operations even when they’re not there. It also prepares for potential security threats from the outside. In its simplest form, security systems are designed to identify threats and notify security management, and emergency services.

Here are some office security sensors:

Secure the Building by securing it with sensors. To ensure that the security system is able to identify and notify you if there is something suspicious happening (like flooding, a burglary or a power outage) the building needs to be fitted with sensors.

Basic Sensors

Sensors are a wide array of sensors that are able to detect all sorts of things. Here are some of the most popular kinds of sensors:

  • Door Contacts: Contacts are comprised of two magnets, one of which is attached to the doors (or the window) and the other one within the frame. If the magnets become separate, the contact gets pulled off.
  • Motion Sensor: The motion sensor is a device that emits a laser beam through an ordinary hallway. In the event that someone was moving within the structure, the motion sensor is triggered.
  • Vibration Sensor: A vibration sensor could be utilized instead in place of motion sensors in order to detect movement in a building. It operates by picking up on the vibrations generated by motion.

To ensure the structure is safe at a minimum, the exterior of the building has to be fitted with sensors.

Advanced Sensors for Advanced Security

But, there are scenarios where the system could be alerted just by one area being detected. It is usually the case with advanced sensors that go over and beyond the security program:

  • Glass Break Sensor: A glass break detector can be beneficial to guard the area against damage due to the large sheets of glass for instance windows or doors made of glass. If somebody breaks through the glass, instead of taking the contact off of its frame the glass break sensor can be activated.
  • Smoke detector: A Smoke detector can be utilized as a proxy device to identify fires. It is connected to the system of security so that you can receive assistance immediately in the event of an incident of fire.
